Berklee College of Music

 

Berklee was founded on the revolutionary principle that the best way to prepare students for careers in music is through the study and practice of contemporary music.

For more than half a century, the college has evolved to reflect the state of the art of music and the music business, leading the way with the world’s first baccalaureate studies in jazz, rock, electric guitar, film scoring, songwriting, turntables, electronic production, and more than a dozen other genres and fields of study. 

With a diverse and talented student body representing 96 countries, and alumni who have collectively won more than 250 Grammys and Latin Grammys, Berklee is the world's premier learning lab for the music of today—and tomorrow.

Radford University

 

Radford University is a comprehensive public university of nearly 10,000 students that has received national recognition for many of its undergraduate and graduate academic programs, as well as its sustainability initiatives. Well known for its strong faculty/student bonds, innovative use of technology in the learning environment and vibrant student life on a beautiful 204-acre American classical campus, Radford University offers students many opportunities to get involved and succeed in and out of the classroom.

The university offers 67 degree programs in 38 disciplines and two certificates at the undergraduate level; 22 master's programs in 17 disciplines and three doctoral programs at the graduate level; 10 post-baccalaureate certificates and one post-master's certificate.

University of South Florida

 

The University of South Florida System is a young and agile system that includes three institutions, each separately accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools: USF; USF St. Petersburg; and USF Sarasota-Manatee. Serving more than 48,000 students, the USF System has an annual budget of nearly $1.6 billion and is ranked 43rd in the nation for research expenditures among all universities, public or private. 

USF, the main doctoral research institution in Tampa is home toUSF Health, which includes the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, and Pharmacy; and to the College of Marine Science that is physically located in St. Petersburg. The university is one of only four public universities in Florida classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in the top tier of research universities, a distinction attained by only 2.3 percent of all universities.

DePaul University

 

DePaul has nearly 300 undergraduate majors and graduate programs, and is known for its high-caliber graduates. Many professors are working in Chicago as consultants, researchers, lawyers and entrepreneurs, and their teaching style incorporates real-world experience. The world is brought into the classroom, and the classroom is taken out to engage the world, where students are considered partners in research and community action.

Colorado State University

 

Our world-class research in infectious disease,atmospheric science, clean energy technologies, environmental science, and biomedical technology attracted more than $300 million in research funding annually. Our professional programs in veterinary medicine, occupational therapy, journalism, agriculture and construction management are ranked among the nation's best.

Colorado State is the "university of choice" for Colorado residents; 30% of all of Colorado's science, math, engineering and technology majors pursue degrees at CSU.

To date, more than 230,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees have been conferred at Colorado State, including more than 6,000 in 2011-2012. Our 184,586 living alumni are active in 27 geographic alumni groups representing 17 states (4 in Colorado and 23 out of state) and 16 common interest groups.

University of Arts Pennsylvania

Miami University

 

Philosophy: Miami is a residential university with faculty who are dedicated to learning and discovery. A liberal education core provides the foundation for the more specialized studies of the majors. Immersing students in both academic and co-curricular experiences has enabled Miami to achieve a top-tier national ranking among universities that provide the best student outcomes.

Enrollment: Based on Fall 2014 enrollment, 15,813 undergraduates and 2,643 graduate students study on the Oxford campus. Regional campuses in Hamilton, Middletown, and West Chester enroll 5,500 combined. About 230 students per year leave Oxford to study at Miami's Luxembourg campus for a semester or a year.

Degree Programs: Miami offers bachelor's degrees in over 120 areas of study. Graduate students choose from more than 60 master's degree and 12 doctoral degree programs. Several associate's degrees as well as bachelor's degrees are offered through study at the regional locations.

Roosvelt University

 

Music is a calling, and preparing for a life in music requires an unwavering desire to achieve mastery of one's craft. Music majors arrive on our campus with artistic desire, and leave with the skills and knowledge to begin a life in music. Studio lessons, recitals, chamber music, operas, and jazz combos form the nucleus of a performer's training at CCPA.

Led by Dean Linda Berna, the Music Conservatory faculty includes more than 25 members of the Chicago Symphony and Lyric Opera Orchestras, Metropolitan and Lyric Opera stars, Grammy award-winning jazz artists, and other internationally-recognized professionals. Our teacher-artists provide their students with one-on-one instruction, technical expertise, and an inspiring love of music.
